Every rule on this site is verified against primary sources only: provincial and territorial employment standards legislation and official government guidance (ontario.ca, gov.bc.ca, alberta.ca, saskatchewan.ca, gov.mb.ca, CNESST, novascotia.ca, gnb.ca, princeedwardisland.ca, gov.nl.ca, yukon.ca, ece.gov.nt.ca, nu-lsco.ca) and the Canada Labour Code for federally regulated workers. Each calculator links its source.

Review cycle

All formulas, thresholds and holiday dates are reviewed: (1) every December, when the next year's holiday dates are loaded; (2) whenever a jurisdiction amends its employment standards; (3) before each major statutory holiday. The "Reviewed" date on each page reflects the last verification.

Corrections

Limitations

Calculators implement the general rules for typical employees. Collective agreements, exempt occupations and special industry rules can differ. This site does not provide legal advice.
